The day-to-day schedule is (in essence) a "hurry-up-and-wait" schedule for 15 days. You'll see what you might be doing next on the master schedule, but there's no sense getting your hopes up until you're in the hotel and off-duty at the destination. Then you'll know you're going there.

Things are very different since you left.

I saw an ad they are looking for Hawker guys. I was recently typed in the 800XP so maybe that would help me. The pay states $220/day for FO's. So 15x220x12=$39,600 a year not counting per diem. Is that realistic or is there opportunity to make more? Seems a little low but I might need a job soon. This would be a time builder for me. I have other opportunities once I get a few more hours.

You are correct! With the per diem it comes out to about 45K.
Remember the per diem is not taxable, so that helps.
You will have to pay 495.00 for your uniform.
I would only do it if you are in dire need of a job.

Also keep in mind that they recently changed the upgrade minimums.
If you don't have a lot of PIC or TPIC it could take you years to upgrade.

Do they stick to the 15/13 schedule pretty well? As in, is it normal to get flown home on day 16 or to be asked/told to stay out for a few more days?

Also, once the 604s show up, will they hire into that from the 400/800 pilots on a merit based system or what?

Thx

Do they hire direct entry captains? I have a bunch of Beechjet PIC time.

No, but I know someone with a type and a bunch of PIC time and he upgraded within about 4 months.

The company cannot force you to stay out past day 15. Once in a while you could end up with a trip on day 14 that might take you out to the islands that would get you back too late on day 15 to airline home. If thats the case you can tell the company that you cannot stay out if you don't want to and they will find someone who is willing to take the trip.

As far as the 604 goes. The way it was explained is that transitions to the 604 will be done based off of company seniority. You also have to meet all the upgrade requirements for insurance to transition and I believe you also have to be a current captain on the the aircraft you're currently flying.

I believe a 15/13 (28 days) rotation schedule will give you 13 rotations in a year instead of 12. Add on another $3300 plus per diem.
