My personal experience is I walked a resume in to their lead pilot while deployed with the AF. I had an interview there, and he passed on my info to the chief pilot. I was called for a phone interview about 6 months later (I wasn't available until then) and after that I was hired. No test, no sims, just basic questions about willingness to live in crappy locations and what you know about their mission.

The official hiring process is to apply on their website and wait. The unofficial hiring process is to talk to them in a deployed location or have someone bring your resume in to their chief pilot.

I had a chat with those guys last week at an undisclosed location and they said the same thing. know a guy, meet a guy, get a phone call/interview, get a contract, sign contract get a plane ticket in the mail. The irony is even w/ Fed Ex type mins I don't have any turbo prop time and that's becoming an insurance req. I'd have to go slumming to get the type of time they want.

I have zero king air time (or turboprop), and didn't get an interview. They really want turboprop time.
