L-3/Dynamic/Avenge
Minimalist Compare and Contrast:
W-2 or Contract Employee? Training Contract? Pay? Conditions? So far I know L-3 and Avenge are W-2 employers. Avenge pays 19,500 a month overseas. Avenge travels coach and is 60 on 60 off. Dynamic 107 on 97 off. |
Here are a few other threads that will already answer most questions that you have.

Dynamic is W-2 as well. The info in the other threads is excellent. A new thread may condense and update the status of these companies.

Hi All,
I got the interview and the call to work for Dynamic recently, and I had to sweat for a a week or so to get the interim clearance. I was wondering if anyone can answer any practical questions on accomadations when deployed in the different areas. No, I'm not talking about a big tub to take bubble baths in lol. I kinda know what to expect on that. What I'm wondering about is civilian communications such as Skype, internet, etc. Will I be able to Skype with my kids? Will I be able or have time to take an internet class? What's the access to internet like? I'd appreciate any comments you can or are allowed to give. Thanks |
Your conectivity to "the world" depends on the type of contract the company is supporting and your particular bed down location. In my case, because of security, Skype was not allowed in our living area although it was allowed in the MWR (moral welfare recreation), building / tent. Same goes for general internet use---all depends on your particular location. Iraq is generally better in terms of infrastructure than Afghan.

It just disappeared recently. I was subscribed, and went to look yesterday, and it was gone. It's also disappeared from my subscription link menu |
There was some really good information on that old DA / L3 thread! I have already sent a message to the admin. to ask that the older thread be brought back, but it wouldn't hurt if everyone else also sent them a note asking the same thing. Cheers
|
Yes please bring back the Dynamic thread, I can't find it either.

RE: any of the mentioned companies
whats the rumor mill regarding Afghan ? Somebody told me since Iraq is drawing down those warm bodies will fill afghan openings and outside hiring into afghan will slow down. also some rumor that due to debt crisis/no money/etc, some of these contract jobs are going to be cut back this was overheard on break at FSI recurrent for the King Air, one guy telling another guy "what he heard". All pure rumor. (I have no idea - hence the question) |

Any word on bringing back the Dynamic thread?

Any of you guys know if Dynamic is doing their interview sim ride on the desk top PCATD or are they using the FTD King Air sim for the interview? I had heard rumor that they are no longer using the desk top, but are using the KA FTD? Thanks

This is what it looks like. Plane old HSI and RMI. https://www.flyelite.com/?page_id=65 |
Does anyone know if they offer you the job on the spot normally or do they make you wait it out for a letter for the yes or no?
|
They tell you they will let you know within two weeks.
|
Is there any updates on these companies? Also any thoughts on which one is the best? Highest Paid. Any info on Aero Contractor's Hiring process? Pay? etc.. Thanks for the help
|
In order of pay: L3-Vertex, Avenge, Dynamic. Dynamic is easiest to get into but if you ar elow time you are doing CONUS type stuff. Understand Avenge has better living conditions, but L-3 travels business not coach. L-3 is the big gun here but if you are looking for a job they all can work for you. Avenge is calling for a January class now. Dynamic does not offer full time status so you do not get benefits. You do at L-3. Avenge is about 40 and horu whilein training, about 35 an hour for L-3. Do not know on Dynamic. L-3 is all 350s, Avenge is a bit mixed. Dynamic is 200s. Avenge has Dash 7 and 8s and twin otters.
Anybody feel free to correct if you disagree. |

You are exactly what they are looking for so PM me if you need any other info. Pegasus may also fit you perfectly. You are in running for Fedex and SWA. I would not do 73 type before interview as those interviews are crapshoots. |

thank you for killing Bin Laden and toppling Saddam but please note if you want your resume to "really shine" you must demonstrate some commitment to your community and volunteer work such as adopting a highway and cleaning up the trash in the bar ditch

Can anyone decode dynamics latest job posting?
Per the Dynamic Website "Minimum requirements include:Current and qualified FAA Commercial certificate (ATP preferred) with any transport category turbo prop type rating (Casa, Saab, ATR, BE-1900, DHC -7 or military equivalent aircraft (P-3 or C-130 etc.). A minimum of 2000 hours total flight time and 500 hours or a type rating in any transport category turbojet aircraft (individuals in this category must have as a minimum of 300 hours in similar turbo prop type aircraft ie; Casa, Saab, ATR, King Air, BE-1900, etc.)." So I read this as Commercial MEI Type Rating in a Multi-Turboprop 2000TT 500 Hours in Multi-turboprop or Commercial MEI Type Rating in a Turbojet 2000TT 300 Hours Multi-turbprop Agree? |
