Thanks for all who have chimed in. I have heard the rumors of S. Florida based 135 operators treating their pilots like dirt. I just wanted to see what the scoop was on these guys. Any additional insight would be extremely helpful. Thanks again.

LAXROX... you work for Colgan and thinking of breaking into the corporate side of aviation? If that's the case, I would go for the Fairwinds job. It gets your foot in the door. And south Florida doesn't suck because there's lots of sun and sand.

Being on-call is rough. And relocating can also be a drag. You might look into Travel Management... 2 weeks on/2 weeks off... reasonable upgrade time.... live where you like.

Just my 2 cents.

When they offered me the LR40 co-captain job they had advertised about a month ago pay was suppose to be in the 75k range with health care paid at 100%. Schedule was sadly only the regulatory days off per quarter reason being why I passed. Supposedly they hired someone but he/she didn't work out.

I understand that people have to make a living, but to work at some company with no scheduled days off and working maximum duty days day after day is just not right. I work at a 135 outfit and luckily we have the manpower to have 8 scheduled days off per month. The problem is most these places have high turnover and never seem to have enough pilots to cover trips, I can't tell you how many times we had to fill in for another company because of this.
