Cherry Air @KADS

Looking for any info on Cherry Air out of Addison Tx. Pay, QOL, Schedule, any other current info. It looks like they operate Falcon 20's. Thanks

Typical 135 on-demand freight hauler ala Royal, Ameristar or Alliance. They just went through a bankruptcy, reorganization and are supposedly under new ownership. Lears are gone, just a handful of -20s, maybe 2 or 3. QOL, probably a 1 hour callout. Expect long periods of time on the road, don't hesitate to refuse an airplane if you're not comfortable with it. My bet is that you'll sit in YIP, ELP or LRD until they sell a trip. The Falcons were tired 10 years ago, don't think they're RVSM'd. Haven't heard them much in the FLs recently so I'm not sure how much they're flying. My bet is that it's much different than back in the 90s. Pay is probably still base + mileage. Good luck.

Cherry ? Still around. Might as well have asked about Star-Check

Thanks for the info Challenger. They had an ad posted on Climbto350 yesterday, so I was curious what was up. You know what their call sign is? (I assume it's Cherry Air??) Sounds as though it may not be a wise choice to work for?......

In two years of full time, part time, and now full time flying at ADS again, I've seen them do a lot of engine runs, but never once seen them fly.

Star Check (Air Net) is still around, if hanging by a thread. I think they only have about half as many Lears as in the good old days. Still a big fleet of props.

I've never even seem them do an engine run.

Just a couple times...pull one out of the hangar, cowls off, taxi all the way down to the runup area that isn't in use. Sit there a few minutes. Come back.

Maybe that's why they need pilots, nobody wants to be a glorified maintenance runner?
