Default Mokulele Airlines Fleet Growing

KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii, March 8, 2013: Mokulele Airlines Expands Fleet To Meet Growing Passenger Demand | PRNewswire | Rock Hill Herald Online

Over the past year and a half this place has been growing a lot. Haven't seen any recent posts about Mokulele so I'll start a new one.

Thread bump:

There doesn't seem to be any recent info on the web that I can find about Mokulele.

Anyone have any current info (all the usual important points; pay/hiring/schedule/bases, etc)?

Current fleet is at nine Caravans; four g1000 and five steam gauges. Orders for five additional g1000's all expected on property by new years. Steam gauges are being retired with each new arrival of a g1000, including four Caravan EX models.

Captain pay is 43K a year, recently were given a five percent raise. SIC pay is 18K.

Currently hiring due to growth. Attrition is lower than what you would expect from a 135 job, due in part to good QOL and people falling in love with Hawaii.

Schedules are always different. Average 80 hours a month and 11 or 12 days off with a couple of additional standby days. Lines range from four legs to ten legs (two to six hour block days). Always conservative when it comes to duty times and flight times unlike most 135's.

Pilot bases in Kona, Big Island; Kahului, Maui; and Honolulu, Oahu.

Been under new ownership for two years now, an Ex-Braniff pilot. Not owned by Mesa in any way. New owner is a great guy who cares about your well being and appreciates any input or feedback you can give him.

It has it's ups and downs, like any place, but overall a great place to work for. PM for additional info.

I'm a former MW pilot. I loved it there and think of it as the most fun I have had flying.
I left before the G1000s and before they started paying 43,000.

No truth to that at all. Mins for SIC are just a commercial ASEL certificate. PIC mins are 135 IFR mins.

Toward the end of my time at MW in 2010 we did have a few p2f SICs. I think they all upgraded after some time.
