Dera, what you are not reading correctly is that he said duty time, not flight time. I know for a fact that they pay duty time, not flight time. Plus, the operative word is scheduled daily flight time. Meaning a day’s flight time can go over 8 hours, as long as the compensatory minimum rest is complied with. It is all in the opspecs of the operator.
With duty time pay, the actual CA wage was about 8-10% higher than the wage I earned at BTQ.

The way I read that post was 8 legs totaling 8.2 hours flight time, not 8.2 hours duty time. He said 6 legs is 5.8 hours flight, 8 hours duty. I can't see how 2 more legs would be .2 hours more duty?
And no, you can't schedule 8+ hours of flight time, but you can go over it for unforeseen circumstances. This is the legal to start, legal to finish "concept". If the crews routinely hit 8.2 hours flight time, that's illegal. If he meant duty time, then it's all good, but it wasn't obvious from his post.
It's not in the opspecs, it's in 135.265.

Schedule on the weekdays is usually six legs for the morning crew and six legs for the afternoon crew. Six legs of flying will generally equal 5.8 hours of flight time and 8 hours total (supervising fueling, waiting for passengers, preflight, etc). A few of the stations field one crew per day on weekdays and they generally fly 8 legs equaling 8.2 hours. On the weekends, at all stations, one crew will fly 8 legs that is also equivalent to 8.2 hours. Morning shift usually comes in around 4:30 am and the afternoon crew at 13:00 on weekdays. On weekends, the one crew will come in around 7:00 am.

You might work three to five days followed by two to four days off. Then TDY at another base for a couple of days, then a day off, followed by a four day shift. The schedule is written for coverage and there's no real pattern. It comes out at the end of each month and although they may ask you to work extra shifts, they'll never mandate it.

He didn't say duty time...
