Alpine Air FO Program

Alpine Air :: Beech 99

I know this isn't technically a "Regional," but it needs exposure.

Check it out! You can pay them to fly big multiengine aero planes and get valuable experience carrying around their boxes!

Under the "request more info" section, you can send them a message! I highly recommend you do! Multiple times a day! Because you're so excited about the opportunity!

They operate single pilot, so it's not like they're taking jobs. Ameriflight does the same thing.

I don't get it, there are seriously people with over 1000 hours who are going to pay 35K to get 300 hours on 1900? With the incoming "pilot shortage," at least at the regional level where you actually get paid to fly (however small the paycheck may be) instead of paying out of pocket, I think these guys are going to have a hard time keeping people interested in their program. You may see it shut down due to it's own lack of common sense.

I say leave it, and let those stupid enough to actually do this drown themselves in immeasurable debt. Hey, if the shoe fits it's yours!

If it's Part 135 cargo on a single pilot aircraft, I don't believe you can log it. PIC logging won't work either due to Part 1 definitions.

ridiculousness

What an absolute joke of a company.
I would be ashamed to participate

Wait guys, did you forget to read this bulletpoint?

At least $10,843 reimbursed as wages earned throughout the course of training Therefore cost to student = $24,438 - 10,843 = $13,595 FOR 300 HOURS OF TWIN TURBOPROP TIME

NOTE that total cost of flying the twin engine turboprop Beech's is less than renting a Cessna 172 .

Just about pays for itself :rolleyes:

:rolleyes:
Single pilot airplane. Who cares? If it isn't for you, move on.
Airplane launch with or without an fo.

Watching a single pilot op makes you a professional pilot , just like watching porn makes you a porn star.

Best line of the entire ad;

"NOTE that total cost of flying the twin engine turboprop Beech's is less than renting a Cessna 172"

So working will cost you less than renting a plane for leisure. Awesome. In other news, working in a sugar cane field in Hawaii costs less than taking a weeks vacation to Hawaii!

Hate them all you want but they do have a point. Cheapest C172 around me is $150/hr. 100 hrs of that rental would be $15,000.
