Most do, and some of them even work

Do pilots use paper approach plates, or plates on iPads? Paper

Does a person need to have a car in Bethel?
No

Is there wifi in Bethel?
Yes. And most homes have running water and flush toilets. Most homes get water delivery and sewage pumping services

What is a typical day like? Fly from sunup to sundown?
Sunup to sundown in the winter: definitely. In the summer: not possible.

What is the initial training and IOE like at Grant?
No different than any other Bethel-based 135 operation

How are things going at Grant? I see lots of activity on the Hagey thread, but it’s all quiet here.

In my experience, things are going well. I was part of a relatively large hiring group, but we've also had a steady stream of people leaving, whether for the regionals, wasn't for them, or those let go.

Seems like morale, at least in Bethel, is better than the Hageland guys next door. We average about 45-75 hours a month, depending on airframe, base, and weather.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask.

Cool, thanks. PM sent. 45 hours must be in the winter because it isn’t very much (who wants to fly a lot in January anyways??). How long would it take to get a Van spot if one already has an ATP?

By van spot, do you mean AirVan or Caravan? We fly both. There are direct entry caravan pilots, but there's also a line of guys with the upgrade times met wanting to move up from the Airvan or 207 into a caravan.
