Heard some ex-135 guy was using an ID from a company he hadn't worked at for 5 years (had been getting free rides that entire time).

I worked for them for 5 years, I can tell you everything, most rumors are all true

Comes out to roughly 340/day, with housing provided and a shared vehicle. The women in Bethel are perfectly acceptable in the looks department. When you get out into the "real" bush or in the Aleutians it starts to go downhill fast.

I know Renfro's pays something around 500+/day (but no housing provided).

Bering and Hageland are somewhere in that 300-500 range as well. Grant has always been low on the pay.

aspilot2be can probably fill you in with more current information as well as what Ryan is paying.

I worked for Renfro it was basically 223/day whether you fly or not. (6k/month plus 700 for housing) Really awesome guy to work for...fun flying.

There were women in bethel???

Is the 223 in the 207s? I thought the Beech was around 500, but might be wrong or going off 2 year old info (or a little of both).

That was for whatever you flew, 207, maule, beech, supercub, blah blah lol. i even ferried a 172 from merril out there and we put it on the ticked and started doing the village shuffle with it. After i left, some dood ran the 18 off the runway at pka or some damn place, totaled it i believe. Never ceases to amaze me how many people wreck taildraggers using brakes...sigh..... on a sidenote i heard he bought inlands helios, damn i wish i wasnt married with a kid lol

Latest news is an across the board pilot pay scale bump, health insurance and 401K coming back. 2 more Navajos just arrived, and a 3rd Airvan showing up next month. Good things are happening at Grant. There was a complete change of management and ownership structure in the past year as well. Ground schools are going on pretty regularly.

Pretty good. Hiring is pretty steady. Still short of pilots at the moment. http://www.flygrant.com/GRANT_AVIATI...in_command.pdf

They are hiring now in anticipation of several more aircraft being acquired for the summer (Airvans). I had separate phone interviews with their HR and DO and was told classes are being held each month.
