Ameriflight
Just wondering why Ameriflight is always wanting chieftain pilots at Oakland and Portland bases. I know it is a starting point but is it because these places are awful to be at our just good upgrade times to BE-99???

The answer is both. Most Chieftain and BE99 pilots leave for the regionals if they see no upgrade insight and also QOL. Oakland, for the most part is a patch work operation, and not to mention VERY expensive. Portland on the other hand is a pretty good base with good time building runs. In the past most 99 runs went senior since not many people moved out of them. But I heard their finally having some turnover.
If your thinking Ameriflight, then expect to get either BUR, OAK, PHX, or PDX in the Chieftan. Most upgrade time is around 6 months, but also you'll have to be willing to relocate. Also make sure your instrument skills are sharp. Too many pilots have failed out because they couldn't fly an arc, or multi task.
