Default Lear 60 pay

What would you consider fair?

Mostly 135, with some 91 mixed in. 7 hard days off a month, they pay for the PIC type.

Based in the greater NYC area, what would you consider fair? They named a salary, and then I asked if it was negotiable, so I beleive I can do a little better if I chose to move forward with this company.

55k was offered, which I don't think is unreasonable, however the cost of living in thr NE is high, and 10k more would be nice, and alleviate some stress.

I have seen the 2014 NBAA Salary Guide, does anyone have access to the 2015, or other suggestions.

Thanks.

Would you be the CA or the FO? Or a May be a co-captain?
For FO is pretty low, for CA is totally unacceptable. An insult.

Thanks for the reply. I should have mentioned, that this is for FO only pay. Potential to upgrade down the road when my TT is higher.

55k is low. But it sounds like you could get 60-65k which is still low but a starting point and if they are going to immediately type you in the lear 60 that is worth something.
If they dangle the type rating then thats a different story and the difference of wanting a real pilot or wanting a warm body to fill a seat.

What is your TT?

What is your TT?
1750, 800 multi, 700 turbine, ATP, prior 135 time and LR-JET SIC type.

I asked if the salary was negotiable, they said yes. The job posting asked for 1000TT and a commercial, so I exceed the requirements

Any benefits? 55k doesn't seem too bad but could be better. I took a FO position in a Hawker 800 for only mid 30K's. 7 on/7 off. 135 ops. Company Health insurance is a nice add on. But feels like I got the short end of the stick?. Same TT as you El Dorado

Plus 55K in the NYC area is borderline poverty wages...

With those kind of mins, it looks like they're looking for a seat warmer. It would be hard pressed insurance wise to have a captain or co-captain with sub 3000hrs in a jet IMHO.

Plus, 55K in the NYC area is considered borderline poverty.

As a Lear 60 FO in the midwest I'd say 55k is low for your location. With COL in the NE US, 65-70 is "eh, ok" not great.
