PA31 PIC vs Jet SIC
I'd love to get some feedback about my next career move from those with hindsite.....
I'm re-entering professional aviation after a long hiatus, wherein I built some multi time commuting in my own airplane. I'm at 1200TT, 260 ME PIC, 1050 PIC.
I've got an opportunity to go with the big 135 cargo operation as a PA31 Captain, or, for a bit less money, with another operator, SIC in a fast jet, on demand, approx 20 hrs / month, at home when not flying so would allow me to work on a bachelor's degree.
I'm conflicted. I accepted the jet spot, and feel like I made the right call. It's a good operation, good people, great equipment, in my back yard. I know I'll hear that the choice depends on my career goals, but I've not yet solidified a long term plan. Probably 121, as that seems like good QOL, but maybe there's options.
Is this a no brainer to anyone out there? If so, which direction?

What's your goal? Without understanding that asking others for choices is pointless.
And what's the career path, or options, that either choice provides?
Like the one poster said if the PA-31 PIC job gets you a turboprop job PIC job in 6-12 months seems like a no brainer for most career goals.
