135 aqp

Just wondering if any 135 operators are using AQP. I'm a former 121 Capt./Instructor and have switched to a small 91/135 operation. I am very familiar with the AQP training side of things under 121, but not a lot about certification, especially 135. Is there anyone out there who could educate me.

Thanks!!

From my experience with a few 135 companies, the answer would be no. All training was done at either FlightSafety or Simuflight.

Anytime! With that being said, you are the customer when you go to these place, and they will do whatever it takes to get you through and to make you happy. They want the repeat business. This doesn't mean that it's a cakewalk. Still have to put in the effort.

Oh sure. I recently went through flight safety for my last type. My company does some in house training and fed rides. They are cost comparing to decide whether they want to have flight safety do our recurrent or just stick with the FAA. I thought I'd try to see if AQP would work for them as another cost cutting measure, like it does for the airlines.

Gotcha. Don't know the answer to that. How big is the company (# of pilots and aircraft)?

15 pilots, 5 jets, 12 pilatus
