I can answer any questions you have abou Tradewind. I will say TW is superior to Boutique, I have lots of friends who were at BTQ, even my gf, and it doesn’t compare to Tradewind in pay, benefits, or QOL.

What're the realistic hiring mins at Tradewinds?

Mins? Lowest I’ve ever seen was like 370. Came very highly recommended and lived up to the hype. Typically 600-800. If you’re above that and / or close to 135.267 then you will be considered.

I'm at 400 with instrument rating and a CMEL. Any hope?

Never hurts to apply and keep your resume up to date.

Good to know.

If you live in a Tradewind base, don't aspire to go to a legacy airline, and can live on 100k or so, Tradewind is a retirement-grade job.
They treat you really well there. I went to a regional, but I still miss it.

Planesense has 4 bases in VA. In addition to IAD, DCA and RIC they added CHO. Just curious what base would you want Planesense to add if they hired you?

I never heard CHO was a base. It doesn’t show as one. That would work but I would request RDU if that was not an active option.

tanker 12-25-2019 05:45 PM

I flew with one of our Pilots that is based at CHO and he said that they have 4 Pilots based there.

Dfw base

What are chances for a dfw base for pic?

There have been numerous SIC’s recently hired for DFW but very few PIC’s. I’d say there is a good possibility. If you meet PIC mins, apply and find out.

Prop LT 01-24-2020 02:20 PM

DFW usually goes junior on both sides. However there is a lot of senior pilots in DFW so expect to get out of base schedules.

vikaask 01-24-2020 06:08 PM

Anyone know if PHX/DEN are looking for FOs anytime soon? 750TT with PT6 experience

DEN is likely, PHX depending on need. You have a shot at an interview with that time.

You can be forced to work out of base or is it voluntary? Do they provide hotels for it if it's mandatory?

You will likely work out of base on some reserve days. If a hotel is needed, it will be provided. Usually very decent places.

Can I ask what the hell you folks are doing to the rudders on your PC-12’s? Keep seeing all these white tails with otherwise beautiful corporate paint jobs. I think it’s up to 3? Just curious.

Good to know, thanks! I'm just waiting for the FO application to get posted again on their website.

Would you recommend for/against sending an application in using the Captain Application?

you could send in your app on the captain form. If your times are competitive enough they may call you.

Don't use the Captain application if applying as an FO. . I spoke with an interviewer a while back and was told that just goes into the circular file. The FO app is up on the site right now. Good Luck.

vikaask 01-31-2020 02:09 PM

Good to know! Yeah I noticed that the day after I asked! Serendipitous

If control surface, panel, or cowl gets dinged and needs to be replaced, the company will order an off the shelf replacement- which tend to come prepainted in white. Boutique doesn't bother to repaint a new panel to match an existing scheme. Bit of a shame as you point out, some of them did have some very pretty schemes in their previous corporate lives. But really a good start would be to have the planes washed a bit more often.

649P has a white intake cowl, 111WG has a white rudder, at least one has a white inspection panel (someone forgot to close it), and I think one has a mismatched flap due to a luggage cart.

How senior is LAX?
Edit: For both FO's and Captains

Went ahead and submitted my resume while the window was open. Not expecting much in terms of getting a call back. Although the hard minimums were only CSEL, preferred was still 500 TT, and I'm only at 290...but hey i can dream i guess...

Skyhawk218Heavy, where did you find the place on their website to sumbit a resume for FO? I’ve been wanting to submit mine but I can only find the application for captains.

They took down the first officer posting. Probably got bombarded by sub 500 hour resumes again.

V35guy 02-19-2020 09:03 AM

I applied for an FO position a couple of weeks ago. Haven't heard anything back yet. Their auto email to confirm the application says "Please do not call to follow up on application. Our reservation line will not be able to help." Does anyone know what number you could call to follow up?

V35guy 02-20-2020 07:56 AM

Boutique Application

I sent my resume for FO in on 02/01/2020 and haven't heard anything back yet. I did receive an email confirming my application. In the email it specifically says "Please do not call to follow up on application. Our reservation line will not be able to help." Does anyone know how you would follow up or who to contact?

I applied for an FO job back on February 1st. Haven't heard anything back yet. In their automated replay it says: "Please do not call to follow up on application. Our reservation line will not be able to help." So who do you contact to follow up? Any ideas?

There are a couple of emails at the bottom of this page that might be worth giving a shot.

I would say have patience. As is true with most airlines, they receive a plethora of resumes and applications. I know that the hiring department at Boutique is quite small, and even if you are selected, it could take sometime for them to get around to you. Keep in mind that FO positions here are incredibly competitive. It’s not a bad idea to re-apply the next time the hiring window opens for FO’s, it will show your continued interest.

-They aim for 10-14 days off/month.
-no home basing, commuting is possible as we have CASS and KCM benefits

-2 or 3 P-180’s, currently not flying. The approval process to have them added to the certificate has taken a long time. Unless you have time in type currently it’s unlikely you’d fly those for at least a year after hire.

Applied for captain position with 1500+ TT, 100 night and 80 instrument, got TBNT 😃

salukipilot 03-12-2020 02:06 PM

Did my HR interview today for FO. TT is 1,014. Just waiting for an email about the tech interview. Does anyone have a useful current gouge for it? Also, I told them LAX, ATL and BOS as my top three base choices. Any chance of getting one of them? Thanks in advance!

Is LAX feasible? Or does everyone just get Denver? I’m just waiting for them to email me about the tech interview!
