Correct. The only real difference is that they would have to put you up in a hotel when your not at the outstation. You also receive $30 per diem per day not counting the day you leave.

Good info, thanks. I've applied to build the hours on a regular basis. And I want to fly the PC12. It sounds like my kind of job.

Does your shop need 1500 hour pilots with 200+ jet/turbine and 700+ multi?

No. 135 minimums for PICs. No multi required.

Phone interview with Boutique tomorrow, March

So my phone interview is scheduled for tomorrow. I've read this whole thread and there aren't any deal killers. I'm willing to pay my dues to fly a good plane. I am working my way through the 100 page Boutique thread now. I also downloaded the PC12 POH recommended in this thread.

What gouges, study materials, other info do you recommend I study?

Out of curiosity, do you have a CFI?

It has lapsed. Haven't instructed in a good while.

If it’s the first interview it’s just HR type stuff. Pretty straight forward, have some questions for them, they’ll tell you all about the company. Second interview is a technical interview regarding IFR procedures, FAR’s and technical questions about an aircraft you’ve flown recently.

Biggest deal killer will be poor IFR knowledge. You'll be emailed an approach plate to use during the tech interview. Know your symbology, how to brief and such. Know your speed limits around B space. It's this stuff that both CA and FO candidates get tripped up on. You'll also be asked about systems on some previous aircraft you've flown. If you have 135 experience, you'll be asked about those rules of the road. In spite of their need for both FOs and CAs, it's not a gimme and people do fail.

Sanguy, thank you. I will make sure i'm up to date on those.
