Not really sure. The pc-12 guys say they have it in their specs and always fly 2 pilot so its more believable i would think to an interviewer. I see captains flying a caravan single pilot all day and then the same plane and same captain with an fo the next day so I dont see how you could have a spec for an SIC requirement if you can pick and choose the day you operate single pilot. Especially if all the fo does is turn on the autopilot lol. So either the captains are flying against the GOM or they dont need a SIC. Regardless most regionals could care less as long as you show close to 1500 in the total column. I jumpseated on skywest home yesterday(e175)and asked the guys how they built their time and the captain said without hesitation for every hour I flew I logged 3. He said as long as you have the hours in the book and have the knowledge to make it through training and fly the plane it doesnt really matter. He didnt seem to be kidding. In his defense he is far from the first to give me that advice. So i guess just log it lol. Now I came in straight as a PIC so luckily i dont have to worry. Best of luck there are a million threads on legitimately logging right seat time and there never seems to be a real answer.

In the Hageland Op specs its says the Caravan doesn't need an SIC if the autopilot works. So I suppose if the autopilot does work, then the SIC can be there or not. But if that autopilot breaks, an SIC is required.

So whenever you're scheduled, you jump in the cockpit and check if it's working or not, and if it is, that day can't be logged haha

Thanks for the info. Adding a question myself. What's the progression at hageland to 1900 fo? The 15/15 is no problem as my previous employment was 90/90 for years in remote locations. I am low time on the flying side though 530tt 125ME (CFII MEI etc). I know I pay my time in SE but what's the path or place in line to the 1900? Does the 125 even help towards a wish list as a newb?

Guys typically start as an FO in either the 1900 or 208. Then upgrade to the 207, then 208 and then pa31. 1900 PIC is filled by super special senior guys who are lifers.

To add, when I was there it was hit or miss if pilots got in the 1900. Some got in right away others never did. Don't go to Hageland expecting to get multi-turbine time.
