Any JAC regulars here? Question for you.

For those who fly into JAC often, I had a question in regards to ATC.

Just wondering what is a more common practice out there (IMC), pilots flying approaches via published transitions to the final approach course (RNAV/ILS), or does ATC like vector you around out there? And if so, do they do a reasonable job getting you down for the approach.

Never been, just curious what common practice is transitioning from enroute to approach. Thanks!

It's non-radar approach, so plan on full transitions.

Descent planning is required, due to high enroute MEAs. Get slow early.
