Full time CFI position available in CT!
Hello all!
Full time position available for a flight instructor in central Connecticut. Salary plus benefits, lots of students and opportunity for flight time. We are also a part 135 operator and upgrades/progression to flying 135 trips can be expected upon reaching required flight times. It's a pretty good place to get your flight time and experience. Feel free to ask any questions in this thread or by PM!

Not sure if it's up yet, there should be one coming up on trade a plane sometime soon! If you have any questions I'd be more than happy to answer what I can. I work here now as a CFI with no plans to leave anytime in the immediate future.

Pay is pretty good, there's a base salary plus an hourly rate, I flew a little more than 700 hours my first year and brought home around $33k. I had a slow start to the year with only 4-5 students. It's a good deal, I had a pay period last year where the weather was crappy for two weeks straight and I only flew around 8 or 9 hours but I wasn't worried about paying rent because of the base salary.
Most of the students are private pilot students, some instrument rating/commercial pilot students, doing a few flight reviews per month as well.
Edit: The ad on trade a plane is up, not lots of information in the ad that isn't here but this is the URL

No contract, schedule varies day to day but generally start no earlier than 8AM and going until 5 or 6pm. In the winter my days are generally done by 4pm due to diminishing daylight. Most days there is a one or two hour break in there. It varies day to day and based on student workload. I get one hard day off per week and if I need a morning or afternoon off for appointments or obligations its not a problem as long as I put it on the schedule in time (usually week or so in advance)
