Rag-Dragging Rules of thumb.
Try not to rotate too low on the pick-up, you might get the hook stuck in the tail.
Be careful when throwing the hook out the window. If you wrap it around the wheel, you might find yourself hanging out the door without a seatbelt.
When landing with a stuck banner, keep the power in as you come in close then chop-it the last 30 feet and dive it to the runway/grass strip to keep the banner high otherwise the banner might contact the ground before you. (Trike gear)
Stay coordinated while maneuvering for the picks.
Have fun and enjoy the 45 mins of stress free time between picks

Always check the hook before going through the sticks. If you miss check the hook. 25 years in the banner business and the worst accident I've seen resulted in not verifying the hook was clear. The pilot lived, but by all rights should not have.
If you hook the gear/tail wheel don't panic, fly the plane and land. 99% of the time on the gear it will fly just fine. And pavement is better for landing with a sign than grass if you can get it. Sign will slide nicely on concrete. Either way a steep approach works better with a nice flare out, and plan on landing more towards
The middle of the runway. Twice I've seen different people
From different companies "drag it in", and BOTH times the sign jerked them down from about 15'.
If you are below the pick up poles at any point during the pick, you are too low.
Land parallel to
The waves and outside the breakers. Assuming you are towing over the beach/ocean. While the surf is tempting there may be ppl you can't see and the waves if it's a rough day could make for a bad time getting out of the plane. Beaches typically are a terrible choice in the summer time.
