Im pretty interested in Aperture Aviation also, the 8/6 schedule sounds great and homebased. How possible is it for someone on the east coast do that commute? What is the pay like?

Aperture is still operating then? Air Associates of Kansas, who also worked for the same customer as Aperture, shut down their mapping operation because supposedly the contract wasn't renewed.

I live in North Carolina, and I start July 10. 10 days of ground school in San Jose, then off to fly with an instructor on the 8/6 schedule...

From what I've been told, you will be working all over the US, so it doesn't matter where you live, other than the occasional sojourn back to San Jose headquarters...


I guess I will find out...
