I rent my 172 out as a side business.
It's located in Central Florida (KEVB).
It's $55/hr (dry) for a 100 hour block.
With the local fuel prices and careful fuel management you could potentially operate the aircraft at a wet equivalent rate of $75/hr.

I just did this much flying in 2 weeks alone. It is totally possible if you are motivated.
150hrs needs 2 oil changes not 3.
I bought a plane and plan to sell it after a few more hours. It is more work, but the most efficient use of money.
FYI if i didn't buy i was looking at GPS in south florida, 40 for 152 and 50 172 dry.
