Still looking to build time, but anyone know of a CFI (or school) around Seattle/Tacoma with a plane that could help me get a CFI rating?

I've been looking around, and getting stuck with waiting lists, aircraft upgrading avionics (always going to be ready in a month, check back in a month...then its another month), aircraft with electrical issues, etc.

Honestly would rather build time almost any other way than CFI, but i'm realizing that with 270tt, its about the only way as far as staying in the US.
Been hoping for a banner towing/air survey/skydive/anything, but cant just keep waiting.

In Washington, the skydiving season starts to get going in May/June. There is a DZ in Shelton and in Toledo if you are okay driving that far. They usually want 500TT and 2nd class medical, etc. but if you have +25 hrs in a 182, you might be able to work something out.

There is also a fire patrol gig out of OLM through Jorgensen's Air Service that starts around the same time flying a 172 over the Olympic National Forests, but isn't full time (when I asked last spring anyways). I have no idea if they are hiring for this season, but worth asking.

Hope that helps.

If you don't mind traveling, Dropzone.com: Skydiving Community, Skydive Information will provide a lot of options.

I'm thinking about taking a 1-2 week trip sometime in August to get about 70ish hours. I have access to an instrument rated C172 for $90 wet. I'll probably just find air fields that I can camp under the wing at. If anyone is interested in joining shoot me a PM. I'm flying out of KVUO but I'm open to meeting you nearby.

Default Low time pilot opportunity

Point to Point Air, based out of Arlington, is looking for pilots. Minimums are 500 hours, single engine commercial, second class medical, etc.. They do charter work, mostly flying to the San Juan Islands from SeaTac. PM me if you want more info.
