Is there anyway to get a resume or application sent in for the Socal Bases? All i'm seeing is Hawaii on the website

Yep I’m with them in the Jax hub. I’ve been averaging 75+ hrs/month with a couple in the 80s-90s and one with 105 but it feels like it’s been slower recently with less long transits.

Most of the flying now has just been survey work but they keep cramming us into big bravos which give airspace issues and then since they put priorities on these big projects they keep us sitting around with bad weather so we can have a week on deployment with like no work done.

As for the guy asking for the SoCal base and where to apply, I’m from SoCal and I can’t even get a transfer there but maybe that’s because they want to keep me here in Jax. You can apply to any base at any time just call/email the hub manager or chief pilot to send in a resume.

Thanks for the reply’s.

The flying sounds cool, really cool. The 20-100 per month is a big range but it sounds like you guys are salary so that is good, unlike flight instruction.

I understand Geomni is a Verisk company now and oddly enough, I have a phone interview with keystone which is as well (I guess at some point that will be Geomni too).

Our SoCal base just shut down two weeks ago. I believe that is because Keystone Aerial has a SoCal base and we just acquired them. It looks as though we will stay two separate companies.

Yeah the hourly rate of accruing hours kinda sucks as far as career planning goes, but the salary is nice since we have guaranteed pay. Geomni started Verisk, then just bought Keystone and will stay separate for the time being. Geomni and Keystone will have separate types of Survey flying for the most part.

Do you mind telling me a bit about what your interview was like? I have one coming up for the Santa Rosa, CA hub.

Unfortunately every hub is different. Mine was simply just a personality type conversation and we did two steep turns and two full stop landings.

I’m at 300TT SEL but I’ve lapsed by almost a year. I plan on getting an IPC and the Works. I’ve been looking over their job listings. Do they require you to relocate to the base or will they fly you there?
