Im closest to Olathe, KS But I would take any base really. I meet the requirements and i have a few of the “preferred” items.

Can anyone comment on how many hours a day your flying?

When your in the right seat running the survey system are you logging SIC time or PIC time if your a CFI?

Hours depend on how long and where you are weather wise. I have had as little as 10 hours a month and as much as 100 hours in a month. All time is PIC because you’re the only pilot onboard.

I would say it's very random too based on the weather, airspace, and how long your sun angle is. It also depends how far you transit. My best month was 105 and my worst was 45. But i've also flown 40 hours since last Tuesday so it's variable. Our base (Jax) does dual pilot. I personally haven't done it since I always try to get a camera operator rather than fight a pilot for the controls.

Some hubs are still hiring however there may be some major changes starting the new year so I would imagine if they had a hiring freeze for a month or two.

At my base any time we have enough pilots we send two up per Navajo flight.

Planes are fine. They fly four types. We definitely get our own hotel rooms but they suggest you share the same hotel and rental car with the operator.
