Low time jobs currently
 

hello everyone,

Currently i'm commercial multi and single engine with instrument rated with 260 hours. does anyone has idea about company's(aerial survey , jump pilot...etc) hiring right now for pilots like me. although i'm doing my cfi course but i'm less interested in it.

Hi, try Star Marianas Air in Saipan. They hire low time pilots to six month contracts (longer if they like you) looking to build time if you’re willing to make the trip.

Try getting your CFI. Most skydiving places won't hire below 500TT. Banner towing it depends but you will need a tailwheel. Best option is to flight instruct. Ask anyone and they will say flight instructing builds time fast and makes you a better pilot.

Well if your in So Cal you can see if Chalk2 needs people. They fly UAV escorts and only require commercial single engine minimums.

What he said. I didn't think getting my CFI would be very beneficial but it was. You'll learn so much about flying it's crazy.

I have a buddy who went to Boutique Air with about the same amount of time you have. I don't know what their current requirements are but couldn't hurt to look.

SIC Requirements:
•Commercial pilots license with instrument rating
•First Class Medical

Boutique Air Mims:
SIC Preferred Experience:
•500 hours total time
•6 months employment as a pilot
•50 hours turbine OR 75 hours instrument

I've known a couple of guys that worked for Star and enjoyed the experience.

What everyone has said in this thread is right on. CFI is the fastest way to build time. If you are good and really interested in talking about flying and sharing learning with others, CFI is your best; You can attract a lot of students, and you will be overbooked, and you will learn, and build time very fast.
Saipan is good if you are single... go meet up new people- from China and SE Asia. I hear you get to meet some really pretty Asian girls there ...:). At least, you get to gather many stories you can tell later

Skydive, pipeline patrol, and banner towing: - you will build time, but certainly not as fast as CFI. Also, most operators want 500TT min, or a CFI, for insurances purposes. If you ever find a good one, the pay is much lower than CFI.

At 260 or so hrs... you still have the Commercial maneuvers fresh in your hands/eyes, get that CFI and you can teach anywhere in the Country. There is a dire need for CFIs; you can virtually name your price and terms.

I'd say, keep looking, but keep studying & preparing for the CFI. Where are you located?...PM me for more

In these present times, it is better to have a CFI certificate and not need it for a job, than to need a CFI certificate for a job and not have it.
