You interview with both the flight school and UAL after you have passed the Hogan Test. It’s a strictly HR interview from United’s side. Then it is exactly as I stated. You can listen to this individual saying, “don’t be fooled” or myself, whom is in the program. Choice is Yours!

Negative. No opportunity to go to Lufthansa. I can definitely confirm that as they train their pilots from initial screening through.

It is almostcertainly too good to be true. The language explicitly states many requirements, and if I recall correctly after 18 months of being a CFI you will be placed into the CPP pool. So assuming you pass the hogan and interview, and work for a year and a half, you’ll be in the pool. In the meantime you’ll still be at a regional building jet time because others will still be ahead of you in the CPP.
But for what it’s worth, regardless of the CPP, Lufthansa would be a great place to work at. You can’t work there as a fresh CFI but with some dual given under your belt a 500 hours or so, you could instruct at a good program. They’ve been replacing (or maybe are done?) the BE33 bonanzas with SR20s, which beats tired Archers and Cessnas at most schools around here.

Your second paragraph was accurate, however, the first was not. Total time from CFI hiring to sitting in a classroom at UAL is averaging 20 months for the 5 cadets who have already flowed through. Expect to see more advertisements to come from LAT in the near future. And yes all of us new hires at LAT are flying brand sparking new SR 20s with G1000 and autopilot. Not a bad gig

There is a thread in the United Airlines sub-forum on this topic:
CFI to UAL CPP
It is fascinating to read the opinions of current United Airline pilots on this topic.
An important point being made there is the requirement of passing the Hogan psychological test.

This seems to be the key issue here. In theory, if UAL can identify "great pilots" with "great personalities" who are "good enough" to get accepted into a "very select" program, perhaps they should be congratulated. But is this what this is? A very select program where only extremely-qualified pilots are selected?
Very true.
Very true.
