You may want to look at Williams Aerial in South bend. They have been moving to that kind of system I think as well. The guy you want to talk to is Danny. Sorry I don't have his info.

All Aerial Survey are home based. Some are 7 months on with a few weeks of vacation, some are 2 months on with 1 week home etc.
Meaning: no crashpad ever required, the company pays for your hotel then airlines you back and forth....
EDIT: if you're looking at short schedules look at ASPEN Helicopters they fly Partenavias or whatever it's called.

Quantum Spatial provides Home Basing. Either you fly a C-208 Caravan with a 16 on 12 off schedule or a Piper Navajo working a 23 on 12 off schedule. Good pay and benefits. Top tier aerial survey company too. A few pilots have just left so they will be looking to fill some slots. PM me if you want more information.

Most are home based and either have a 14/14 rotation (Quantum, Fugro, Woolpert, Aspen, Aero Graphics).
The others are mostly Pictometry vendors (Air America, Groundlens....) and require you to deploy 6-7 months continually (although some offer mid season time off).
