Default Lights required?

I am looking at buying an experimental LSA built in 1982 and at that time it didn't have a electrical system there anti collision lights were not required. Now the aircraft has an electrical system but NO lights. Is this legal???

Yes, you are legal. You are not required to have any lights (position, strobes, beacon, etc) for day flying. However, if you DO have a beacon or anti-collision light installed, then you must have it on while operating the aircraft.
