Looking for my first pilot job (330 hours)
Hey guys,
Im a young determined pilot. I have around 330 hours. I have a first class medical as well as my Commercial / multi / instrument. I’m having quite a hard time finding any jobs. Any suggestions? Thanks! |
I was in your shoes the last few months. Started applying at 275 hours. Go a lot of no's and several interviews that eventually led to nothing. So I got my CFI. I will not be the only one to say it, but it truly is the best option.

I believe all the survey operators start hiring late summer / early fall for their contracts. I'd start researching that direction, there are a lot of operators, but you need to do your due diligence. I had 240 hours when I got hired to fly survey 5 years ago, currently a regional FO now. It's doable, but be prepared to do the research and legwork necessary to get your resume in front of the right people. Good luck!
