After leaving the caravan job in Conroe, can you elaborate on your path to your next job?

After leaving the Van, I went on to do contract flying on the PC-12 and CL601. 3 years ago I picked up a full time gig working for an oil company flying a C560XL. So, yes there is life after pipelining.....;-)

I worked for them as a contractor (non flying job). They are a fantastic company and the pilots who worked there when I was there loved their time there. Flying 208s on pipeline patrol is a sweet gig.

Man, makes me miss pipeline like crazy. It was without a doubt the best flying job I'll ever have and I was just in a clapped out ol' 172 can't imagine how much better it is with A/C and heat lol. Didn't know there were Caravan pipeline gigs in the US let alone based in the Houston metro area. I'm still in IAH and it looks like I found my furlough backup plan. Thanks for the share.

There are a huge number of pipelines, especially around the gulf coast. More than what one can imagine.

Except not much in Area 51 in the middle of Nevada. Just sayin’.

Reality. Looking at the map, it is intense around the Gulf Coast. And, yes, there are pipelines pretty much everywhere. Why I have to shake my head when people were frightened by the Keystone XL Pipeline.
