Time building in Pipeline Patrol
I posted this in another section, but I thought it might be good for the low time group. If your interested in building time doing pipeline patrol or just want to see America from a different perspective, check out my video. I did pipeline for 5 years and used to get ask all the time by other pilots what was it like flying at 500ft all day. Here's the answer: :D

Awesome video. I didn’t know any pipeline companies flew the caravan. None I’ve seen jobs posted for at least.

Do you want to share what company fly's the Caravan and if they're hiring?

When your running 25,000 miles of pipe monthly (in very desolate and environmentally hostile locations) at 500ft all day, you want a PT6 sitting in front of you. From a safety perspective it makes total sense. "Dependable Engines" |

TransCanada was the company, and at the time was the only company running Vans in the states. Enbridge in Canada was also running a couple. I have no idea if their hiring.

Wonderful video essay.
Yes, that is them, TC Energy. I left in 2015 and they have had a lot of changes including a name change. They are very corporate, so if there is a job opening it would be posted in "careers" on their web site. And yes, at the end of 5 years I was into 6 figures....doing pipeline patrol!! |
