When I was there a few years ago Bryan the owner was a super nice guy and really great to work for. One of the nicest guys I've met in the low time industry.

My biggest complaint were the crappy hotels they sometimes put us in. The pay wasn't all that great but I've worked worse places where the management were jerks but the pay was ok. I'd much rather work for someone like SkyLens.

Bryan is great. Hotels are meh sometimes but you can get some decent hotels. I usually stayed in comfort inns or country inns. sometimes you got the crappy hotels but you get to pick so its on you as long as its in budget. Lots of flying. lots of seeing the country. Pay was 95/day in the 172 and the bonus system ended up adding an additional 300-500 a month on average, sometimes you could rack up a lot of hours and get a 800-1000 bonus. Only real cons are being gone for 7-8 months, getting stuck in places with crap weather or being stuck in a small town with no hotels except a super 8 lol

I agree with the others. Bryan was great to work for. He pretty much left everything up to the pilots and if you did your job you never heard from him. The FBO you based at, the hotels, everything was decided by the pilots. The hotels were what they were for the given budget. He had a corporate membership for hotels that could get some pretty good rates but the hotels were up to the pilots as long as you stayed in budget. Lots of flying. Lots of seeing the country. It truly was fun. Download your music or podcasts and do circles in the air for 8+ hours a day. The pay was decent too. I actually took a pay cut to fly at my first corporate jet job. All-in-all it was a great experience. Like the others said, the only down side was being gone for 6-8 months. Luckily my fiancé (now wife) had a job that allowed her time off as much as she wanted and she flew to wherever I was every other weekend for a long weekend.

Also, maintenance on the planes was up to the pilots as well. He had a maintenance schedule that you were supposed to follow and if anything needed repairs you got them done. Was never pressured to fly anything broken. If parts were needed they would overnight them to the mechanic that you were at. And Bryan never pressured you to fly in questionable weather. He actually told me to stay put instead of trying to beat a snow storm to the next project which meant I was essentially grounded for the next week. Safety was always obviously number 1 at SkyLens.
