There are threads upon threads on APC about the tough times facing aviation right now. You are facing a particular tough times exasperated by your low time and no real world work experience. You are going to have to rely on hard work, shaking hands and kissing babies (in a get out meet and greet the people - politician sort of way) and a good dose of out of the blue, old-fashioned LUCK.

I have tried all that, but I am going to take that word from you, after sensing this made me recognize that I have mislaid few areas where I need to stop by. Thanks for the big advice USMC really appreciated. but how much a person can really kiss, am sure there is a limit lol

If you want to earn money while networking, try to get a job on the ramp of a busy general aviation airport, but even those jobs are hard to find now.

It has gotten worse in the last few months. I just saw about four places that had minimums of CFI-I and 500 hours for instructing. Not too long ago, places like those just wanted a CFI.

CFI-I with 350 TT and you have applied to over 500 places worldwide and havent gotten a single call yet? I find that hard to believe. There are several schools around who will at least take you in a part time position? Go talk to them in person.....I agree with everyone else, sending emails and online networking doesnt compare to getting out there and shaking the hand your actually talking to. A lot of it is also timing....I know guys who have been emailing and submitting apps online for years only to have someone else just walk in and get handed a job. You need to consider also that you may need to take a fueler or desk job first, at a school or FBO? Get to know the owner/operators at your local airports first hand, being persistent can pay off in the long run.
Long story longer....right now its all about timing timing timing, and unfortuneately, right now the timing it really tough for everyone. also, if you working somewhere now maybe at a large company, you'd be surprised to find people/friends of friends, who have an airplane and maybe need/want some recurrent training or a BFR or someone to sit right seat during some actual? I had two of those from my last job.

I believe it. It is like you said, it is the people who walk in or work somewhere else on the field that they hire, not one of the hundreds of applicants that emailed.

Yeah, believe it or not that my experience…last job I applied at was asking for 1500 dual given. I have only been to 4-5 places by person…rest of them wre email, fax and applications. I will give a try walking in.

As I mentioned before a long time ago, this is a very bad time to look for a pilot job if you have less than 1000 hours. The lower below that the worse off you are. Also not saying if you have 1001 hours it gets better because it doesnt. There's a lot of experienced pilots just sitting around and gaining more experience probably and that giant pool puts us low timers at a disadvantage. Almost as a promise to not getting a job because we are the last considered.

Default Face to face works

Every job in Aviation I have ever gotten was a face to face meeting or referral from someone I already knew. This includes the pop up photo flight, flying for 2 owners, teaching at 2 schools, independant instruction, flying for a 135 carrier, and flying skydivers. I have never gotten an opportunity from an email, phone call, or fax. Go where the planes are!

I got an opportunity to fly jumpers by volunteering as ground crew to help with quick turn arounds. I got a gig flying for an owner because I was at the airport and someone asked if I knew anyone with Cessna 310 time and a MEI. You have to be there.

One of theMost of my oportunities have come form working on the ramp at places. I know out here in Washington if you are a CFI at some of the smaller airports they will hire you as a ramper and then you do your CFI stuff with them as needed. Becasue they don't get the ammount of students as larger schools you make more money working this way.
