Default 1000 TT looking for a job close to ORD/MDW

Left my job behind in Michigan a month ago to move to Chicago. Finding work has been difficult to say the least. Does anyone know of any places hiring in this area? Ideally within 1 hour of downtown Chicago. I have
1000TT
700 dual given
75 multi
CFI/CFII
ASEL/AMEL

Still instrument current and just renewed the CFI last week.
Any job will do; CFI, jump pilot, etc...

Thanks!

good luck...there are a few posters here that live in the area that have better knowledge then I do of this area. It's just going to get tougher here when winter comes....again good luck.

I've lived in the area, northwest suburbs, my whole life and I can't find anything to save my life. I'm doing the temp thing for now. I'm currently at 2400TT, 1300 turbine, 1400 multi. Good luck to you!

Well, graham you may have to tell your g/f that she will have to deal with you being gone and go for an aerial survey job to get your hours up unless you can find a find a find a CFI gig. Otherwise, I would contact josh homet about getting on with ifl. They hired him at 800 hours but that would be in ptk.

I've been looking for a long while too, and have not found anything that even hints at a flying job in Chicago. Lewis is NOT planning to hire any CFIs for another year at the earliest. It has been 2+ years since they had any outside hires. Good luck!

You could look into Air Choice One. I don't know to much about them but I have seen adverts for hiring.

I instructed at Windy City Flyers out of PWK. Not a whole lot of students right now, but a good company to work for.
