A couple years ago (when I flew it) the rate in AL for a Sabre CA was $500/day plus expenses, the FO didn't need to be typed (other than SIC for insurance rates) and needed only to be current in cat/class to be the FO. FO's usually got $200-300/day plus expenses, unless there was something special about the particular mission. Sabre training is expensive and I do believe that the only sim now is in St Louis. If I was doing the flying, I'd have to factor in what it costs me to get/stay current per year in that wonderful airframe.
