Default NPS Park Service

Any NPS pilots out there? I am interested in connecting and learning more. Yes I am interested in becoming a ranger and flying within in the park service long term.

I used to work for the National Park Service in a non-related aviation position for a number of years. To my understanding, they hire from within as well as the outside. Rangers who went through the FLETC academy with flying colors were offered a flight slot, with the NPS covering the costs. On the other hand, I have seen numerous job postings on USAJOBS - The Federal Government's Official Jobs Site Be prepared to hit the FLETC academy hard. Also, you may want to check out the US Fish and Wildlife Department.
