Greensburg, IN: Jump Pilot?
 

I was just wondering if anyone knew anyone who works for the parachute outfit in Greensburg, IN? I have 300tt w/ 16 multi and really need to build time. I'll do whatever to get on out there and just ride along for a bit until they have an open slot to fly, i.e. I'll answer phone calls, be a damn secretary, w/e.

Or, if anyone knows of any jump pilot jobs in the Indianapolis/surrounding areas, I have 20 hours in a C-182, but I am having trouble finding jump places which fly 182's.....help please.

I would recommend emailing them or go out there on the weekend and drop your resume off. With 300tt it's very unlikely you'll get the job there. Most skydiving companies want 500tt to fly a 182.

There are actually quite a few skydiving companies in the Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky region. You'll have to do your homework and search. Pull out a VFR sectional and look for parachutes. Figure out what the name of the skydiving company is and send them an email or call them.

I don't have that much experience as a jump pilot, but the job that I got was achieved exactly how Oblique advertised. I found out that there was a local jump school and I showed up with less total time than you, offered my services, and I guess they needed someone because they offered me the job for either $10/load or free jump lessons to start. Networking is key - and in this case it meant face time.

Used to be called Jerry's Skydiving Circus, I believe goes by Explore Freefall now. Flies 2 or 3 182's. It's in Franklin, IN, just south of Indy. It's mostly a hobby dropzone.
