Class Bravo Airspace
#2
Unless it's changed since I last looked........ It should just be 250 KIAS since you're in class B. If Bravo extends above 10k it should be 250 anyways since you would be in class B. But then again that's why all the regs say something like, (Unless otherwise authorized by the administrator).

If you read the reg (91.117), there is no airspeed in Bravo, just in C, D, below Bravo and below 10000'. If you are above 10K, and have nothing from ATC, you are good to go. B/C most Bravo goes to 10k, we assume there is an airspeed.

I think BLott4 is correct. I have been looking for the answer and nothing says 250 for class B. AOPA has a circular saying it's 250 within class B. I'll keep looking. Good question OP. I can't find anything in the FAR's or AIM that says 250 in class B. I guess my primary instructor said it best. "It's whatever they tell you".

Look at it from the other way, there is no law. The law says 250kias below 10,000MSL. Has no mention of Class B.
Don't know where the 250 in class B started but it is not correct, its not in the AIM. There is 200 below class B and within 2500' and 4nm of a class C or D primary airport however.
