Low time pilot in FL: options?

Good evening ladies n gents!

I don't post too much on these forums, but I've been trying to make it a habit to come on here more often and post. This past Tuesday, I recently passed my Commercial Single Engine Add on checkride. I'm aiming to do my CFI but in the mean time I was wondering if any of you folks have any information in reguards to pilot jobs in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.

I had an interview at Gulfstream(Silver Airways) could of taken it, but I declined.I don't really want to go to the CFI route but hence this is my best bet, this is what I'm aiming for as I previously stated.

I guess it never hurts to ask if anybody has some leads or information about any flying gigs single/dual pilot ops in the Southern florida area.Although I'm not limiting myself just to Florida.I'm originally from New Jersey and that would be GREAT if I could find something up there, but as this is where I currently reside my reasoning for asking.

I've done my research, I've looked through the forums, and just seeing if anybody has any helpful info or options on the subject matter that I may have overlooked

Congratulations on the Checkride, welcome to the fly for a living club! Unfortunately, I don't know of any leads in your area, but good luck! You're at the hardest stage of your career (Unless you get furloughed a bunch), but it will get better!

Honest question - why did you turn down Gulfstream if they offered you a part 121 FO gig with a wet commercial? You had an opportunity basically every new commercial pilot wants, and you bypassed?

You can debate the ups and down of GIA all day long, but getting into a 121 gig with that much time would have put you at a significant leg up IMO.

And in a significant financial hole for much much longer. Kudos to the kid for passing IMO.

Well the thing is he will be passing on everything then. I think it's important to see that it's a means to something better. No one will hire a wet commercial pilot, and if they do you can bet it probably will not pay much and you can bet he didn't find it right out the gate either so think about the time spent looking. Just my thoughts but I don't know much about anything lol.

The PFT is gone now. So no they aren't.

if you are planning to instruct, ask around to different flight schools and see if they will need instructors after you are done.
business is somewhat slow for those without foreign contracts, so see if this can at least get your foot in the door somewhere, since you will be dropping a few grand on their business.
shop around, and stay the hell away from silver.

Just cusrious. Why "stay away from Silver"?
Any experience, input? No PFT but a 2 year training bond worth 24000.
