I could deliver food in my tuktuk, extra cash in my days off.

1. I am based in KOA. Found a place for $547 a month including everything. Share bathroom with your own room.
2. The company will try their best to positive space you throughout training. But if you are assigned to a training base (KOA/OGG) like me. They do not cover the housing after ground school. I have to crash with other classmates (based in OGG) in the hotel on the little bunk I made with them while the training is being done in KOA.
3. There was 6 in my class.
4. No airfare is included.
5. Full CASS and KCM. I jumped to Chicago, New York, Phoenix, Taiwan and London for leisure during the past 6 months I am here.
6. Average across the board is 60-70 hours now. LAX might be a little bit better, but don't quote me on that.
7. Hawaii-based pilots are home every night, LAX pilots do few day trips with crew house in IPL and SMX. Semi-commutable now, but since LAX ops is new, they are still trying to figure it out.

Lastly, guys, this is a very good low-time pilot job, which is rare. Don't expect to be treated like the regionals for training (Airfare, hotel, pay, scheduling). The hiring takes a while, be patient. I am very glad I have taken on this job.

Whew...you all owe me a drink lol.
Extremely helpful post. Thank you for taking the time to respond and clarify.

Default Here I Come

Sorry for all the unresponded PMs! I decided to reply it here so that everyone can benefit here!

Here they are:
  1. Did I miss your pilot hours for obtaining an interview with Mokulele?
Mine? You can find mine few pages earlier.
  2. Interview stuff
I went through only a phone interview, A few easy questions like career planning, G1000 time, recent flight experience, non-stress stuff. If you are applying for FO, you are here to learn and grow. Personality matter more in that case. However, it could change dramatically tho.
  3. How to not fail in training, or pass it with ease?
Brush up on instrument skill. I would recommend an IPC in G1000 aircraft. If you have extra time, I am sure there are plenty PT6 materials for you to read over on the internet!
  4. How often are the classes.
Classes are pretty much monthly; but let's put it this way, the lesser FO will be better for the company, MW pilots, and future MW pilots. If there is too many FO, all the hours got distributed out. I was getting 90+ hours during the first two months, but the company decided to hire more FOs, which our FO average is about 60-65 in KOA now. Lower monthly hour --> slower upgrade --> stuck longer with FO pay -- >more time eating ramen noodle
We all want to grow and help the company grow at the same time! That helps the reputation. So in my opinion, the more selective the process is the better. So all the awesome pilots on APC can get hire, right? Just my .02
  5. First-year Pay (70hr guaranteed with 13 bid period)
    FO: $21/hr
CA: $42/hr ($48/hr if you sign an one-year contract)

Lastly, thank you for all the drink offers! Unfortunately, I am going to take a LOA starting on January, gotta go back to AZ and finish my degree. Maybe in the future!

Again, if I missed anything, comment below!

Are you referring to the formal "You have been chosen for the Jan 9 class", time of shuttle pickup, etc?
