Look into Planesense... They’re not a pay to play operation. They have a legitimate PDP.

Theyre owned by Southern now and they are not hiring. Just in case you were still looking in to it. Major bummer times.

750TT required (1000 preferred) for Planesense vs less than half of that required for Mokulele/SAE (when they're hiring). Not exactly the same league. Mokulele no longer requires you to "pay to play", although there was a training contract with step bonuses (SIC ride passed/upgrade) and a segue to Skywest (with another bonus after passing ioe). All of that is obviously up in the air right now.

Curious to see if first officer pay has increased at all and if they have resumed hiring. Does anyone flying for Mokulele have an idea of the number of flight hours a first officer can expect every month?

Yes they are hiring and no, the pay hasn't increased. You can expect close to (or over) 100hrs a month. Pathway program to Skywest. Get hired with a wet CPL and you could be in the right seat of an ERJ in 18 months with $25k in bonuses along the way. There are worse ways to build time.

Pretty sure they aren’t hiring. Mokulele is owned by Southern Airways Express now and there are no pilot job postings on their site.

Thanks for the responses, everyone! I will try my hand soon and apply regardless. It looks like there was lots of competition for very few jobs in years past, is that still generally the case? I heard at one point they had a stack of 300 applications on their desk at once.

If you are really wanting a job with them that bad, just keep trying to reach out and get in contact with someone from hiring if you can. With the regionals' hiring full force again, that stack of applications on the desks' of Part 135 operators will continue to shrink and you'll be on top soon.

Four Mokulele pilots left for the regionals this week. They are hiring (via Southern Airways).
