Probably a pretty good chance if they need pilots out there. Most guys that get hired "want to fly in paradise" so not a lot of new hires ask for the PIT base. Not sure how the PIT schedules are but in Hawaii you work around 14 days of lines with 2-3 days of standby. The lines vary but you should average between 75-90 hours a month of flying. AM lines start with a 5am show and done around 2ish. PM lines start between non and 2 and go till 9ish.

What island do you live on? If you are in Maui or Kona I would go and say hi at the offices. Chief and DO live in Kahului and the General Manager (a pilot as well) has an office at the kona airport (the trailer terminal). Were you at Kamaka?

Things change. Surplus of pilots right now as they decide on a new schedule and route system. Probably will restart that class when some FOs start upgrading which should be 2-6 months from now.

Class??? You mean given a paper and flash cards to study, show up and fly the airplane for training. At least that's how it used to be.
