ATP Written

With the new insane rule, what's the cheapest way to get an ATP written now?

If you are worried about getting it done right NOW there is no cheapest just the ONLY option of riddle as far as i know.

ATP is rolling one out for $5k... Surely there is cheaper somewhere.

if you wait a while there is. if you are wanting to do it right NOW your options are limited.

But wait, there's more!...You still have to cover the price for the examiner/check ride as well as have the 1,500 hour minimum!:D

the 5K is just to get the written!!!

Which is still quicker than the 4 years it takes at ER.

Well, it may take the airlines about that long to realize how short they really are and pony up the costs themselves? at least you'll have a 4 year degree?

I'd rather have 4 yrs in at a regional with a degree 1/2 done vs a four year degree complete 200TT and 200k in debt.

I don't know how many hours you have, but if you can wait, I think that as the pool dries up, of ATP pilots, the airlines themselves will push for a change. There are plenty of jobs that don't require ATP.
