AGI/IGI and Gold Seal Application Process
 

Hello all,

I've been waiting on the FAA to complete the registration of my IGI (registration - DOCS complete) for me to submit my Gold Seal IACRA, then schedule my FSDO appointment. They are taking forever to complete this registration and I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to apply for a gold seal using only the temporary certificate issued for my IGI?

There's a place in IACRA that allows me to select if I am adding a Gold Seal. When I click on it, a red sentence appears on the bottom of the page saying I don't have my IGI yet. Which is not true, it's just that the FAA hasn't finished processing my certificate in a manner that IACRA recognizes.

Anyone with experience on this matter?

1-Don't you need the ADV GI also..? Other than the title, you were only commenting on the IGI.
2- Wait until the FAA has processed your IGI. You can look yourself up on FAA.GOV to see when it was finalized. Good luck.
