Flying slowly, I'm a 600tt pilot who's looking to replace my oil & gas desk job for flying. I'm 51 & in perfect health. I'm in Houston. I have the usual commercial, instrument, CFI. I have a MEL as well. Just sold my Cirrus SR22.
Know of any opportunities?

Planesense... their mins are 500TT. However, they probably don't have a Houston base. Note that they really don't have bases anyway, they just airline you to where the plane is when you start your shift.

I'll second Planesense.
Know a guy there who doesn't want to leave.
Be humble and willing to learn even though you may be paid $30k and flying with a PIC who's half your age.
Just sayin'

Old thread.....does anyone have an update re: Barr ???

Got a son looking for his first flying job. He'd prefer not instructing.

The successful candidate will meet the minimum time and certificate requirements of 1,500TT and Commercial Pilots License with Instrument Rating (no exceptions)

That’s from the website linked, looks like your son needs to flight instruct for 1250 hrs.

Huh. From what we've seen/heard so far....nope. Pay has gone up, too.

Well maybe find out yourself then as I literally just clicked the link provided and you’d think they’d keep it updated.
