Seasonal summer jobs

Hi,

I was wondering if I can get some insight into companies offering seasonal employment as CFI's, towing banners, aerial tours, Alaska, etc?

Hi,
A lot of jobs I've been looking at are requiring 500TT now. But if you find anything lower, let me know cause I'm job searching at the moment

I am approaching the 500hr mark and was also looking for something seasonal for the summer. My current CFI gig is super slow, less than 30 hrs/mo. Any suggestions? I'm willing to go just about anywhere.

I second this. Have my MEI,CFII and unfortunately I'm old, so I need to get these hours. I know everyone does! But at only 500something hours, can't seem to find anything but my CFI gig at a snails pace.

If you are in the San Diego area try Air Ads Inc. Banner towing operation with a great guy that runs it. Year round flying and who wouldnt want to fly a super cub?! Mx is spot on and boss is super flexoble with scheduling.

Did you apply to the typical operators? Air Choice One, Mokulele Airlines, Boutique Air, Southern Airways Express, Ameriflight, Planesense, Grand Canyon Airlines.....they all will hire you with +500h.

It's not a piece of cake, but if you apply and update your application, you may get the call eventually

I have applied to most, even have friends at some of them. I have been stalking these forums for some time and finally registered. I've seen your posts before and saw you going through the same...apply wait apply wait. I'm hoping to get one of those emails for interview but see others getting them according to posts on here and keep wondering if it's just I'm at bottom of stack at only 520hrs. Have a previous career and work history is great just need to get to the stage to show it to them ha! Thanks for the list, I will look into the ones I haven't applied.

Once you get the email you're good to go, as long as you're patient.
Good luck and keep applying non stop.

Maybe try San Juan Airlines up in Bellingham, WA. I believe they require 135 VFR mins, and I've heard it's great time building.

Crop Surveys are the best summer only job you can ask for. Planesense and the other 135/91K gigs are likely not going to hire a summer only FO. I did surveys for 3 years during college, built maybe 150-200 hours a summer at relatively high pay.
