Piedmont Airlines News & Rumors

August: 144 total lines; 89 lines (~62%) ALREADY have 12 or more days off!
July: 145 total lines; 105 lines (~72%) with 12+ days off.
June: 150 total lines; 78 lines (~52%) with 12+ days off.
This is not an improvement to anything, in fact I would argue that this is a concession. Knowing how this place is, they could construct down to the minimum guaranteed 50% of lines having 12+ days off and the company would have the better end of the deal by being able to actually INCREASE the number of lines with min days off compared to current and recent bids. This is not a gain at all.

Really? They had the option to bring this to mediation and didn’t, they thought this would suffice for a majority of the pilot group, and I don’t know how the hell they weren’t drug tested after making that decision. Everyone here saying voting yes for a mild improvement over status quo is delusional. Half the points are basically the same crap just explained in a different way “carry over” = interface known in advance. AND it’s not better then status quo because you forget about the 5 hour until junior man stipulation, so besides 3, 4 maybe 5 turns we can’t do in under 5 hours in the whole system? O yeah great for commuters half of which say they already don’t use both there commuter hotels per month, well now the company can just throw on pretty much any turn they want an unlimited amount of times year round.

12 Days Off
• Sets a guarantee that 50% of all hard lines will be
built with at least 12 days off.
Can you imagine the Piedmont definition of this?? Sure 50% of the lines would be 12 days off and the other 50% would be 11 days off per month.
Whoopee no more triple premium because we got the staff we need!!

I know the committee did what they could, and I am appreciative. You get what you can successfully negotiate, and things aren't dire enough just yet for the big brass to give in much. As is usual with many airline managers, they aren't thinking more than 2 steps ahead in terms of attracting and retaining good folks. We will see how that awesomeness works out for them...

As an Envoy guy I hope that you all know that we are behind you in your fight for a better contract. Bringing you up to our abysmal pay rates isn’t good enough. We all deserve to be compensated like the professionals that we are (except the PSA guys who voted yes, the can choke and die).

People are going to walk with their feet.. I'm trying hard as hell right how to get out of here. This company does everything that can to treat us like garbage.

Heard the recruiters at oshkosh are still selling a 5 year flow... someone should sue Piedmont D.B.A. and AAG for this. This is egregious and false claims that seriously harm a person's career growth and future financial income.
Although maybe the recruiters know 300 people are resigning after seeing this bs off from the company.
