Age depending, it’s a smart move to go on to an LCC now vs staying years to flow... a 2 year delay still costs $500k and $75k in 401k contributions on the backside of the career.
Buddy at JetBlue gets 17-18 days off a month and is looking at a 3 year upgrade on the 190... and makes as much as PDT captains an FO.
Spirit has a big aircraft order book that should keep its upgrade within 4 years for a while for folks who want it...
Going to SWA with the 10-12 year upgrade would even be a quicker then starting at PDT waiting to flow at PDT and then upgrade to group 2 CA at AA.
