What? Nobody wants to share a blooming onion? Fine. I’ll eat it by myself.
Somethings gonna happen. We are keeping our heads afloat for now but the cupboards are getting bare. Would bet good money 200 of the pilot group is stuck in training. Took me almost 5 months to finish upgrade.

Zero dog in this fight, but I just had a very close friend that was 100% all about that flow, finally bailed. Absolutely could not take it anymore. The things I’ve heard from him and what I read here. Wow. Absolutely nuts. I get it’s APC, but it’s not all BS. Pretty damn incredible given the market. Oh well. I’ll be surprised to see how this plays out. Unless your truly truly imminent to flowing, I can’t see how any AA WO truly keeps it together. There’s absolutely no way any WO is hiring more than they are losing to the Big 3 and LLCs.
Piedmont is a sinking ship. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. If you’re currently at Piedmont the goal is to get out ASAP.
As you said, I don’t see how Piedmont will be around after this year. The 145 is a dying aircraft, pax hate it, no wifi, awful performance, red valet tags that confuse pax, not economical with fuel burn. PDT can’t staff or remain staffed. The pilots have awful QOL with an outdated contract, zero flexibility and transparency with schedules, massive training backlog and the new crop of FOs are bottom of the barrel in terms of quality. All the LCAs keep jumping ship to move on to bigger and better things. Piedmont is not in a survivable position given the current climate of the industry and you’d be foolish to come or remain at the company if you had other opportunities available to you.

Sounds like this bitter Betty busted a check ride and wants to blame someone else 🧐
Nothing you’ve described isn’t a problem for every regional at the moment, aside from the fleet issue. My advice, learn from your failed checkride and be better for it. 😘

Actually I’m part of the mass exodus that has been going on for about a year now and have already left Piedmont. I’m just hoping my friends that are still there can do the same and that I can save those considering PDT a lot of pain and suffering. However, if you claim to enjoy it there and can’t get out in this current industry environment then that’s on you! Oh yeah, you have “flow”, cute, keep drinking the kool-aid, I bet you and johhnyJetProp are best buds.

Why are people who have moved on to the great mainline still concerned about poor Old PDT. Maybe big fish small pond. Maybe just a know it all type A. Maybe just thinks they got hired because they were a great candidate. Everyone is a great candidate when they need meat in the seat.
unless they fail out of UAL training and return to PDT. Then. Not so much. But I digress.
if PDT was your first job. And you were so awesome that mainline snatched you with a quickness, I think you should be grateful for the accelerated timeline PDT provided complete with experience and two whole months of reserve. And an upgrade that you certainly deserved after only one look at each season.
Also the numerous training AD lessons and the ability to discern the QRH from the performance manual. Let’s not forget turning off both engines at the gate for night night.
Hitting an upswing in the pilot market does not equal superior airmanship.

Good news is coming my fellow pilots! Once again when the sinking ship needs the be right, AA calls on Piedmont to right the ship. There has never been a better time to be a Piedmont pilot. The training department is in full swing and the best come here. Short reserve times, quick upgrades and the icing on the cake: flow to AA. On day 1 you're an AA pilot with hour AA number. One number for 30 to 40 years. It brings a tear to my eye.
I guess coodrough568 has multiple accounts now.
